ABOUT

Keegan Stewart (b. 2003, Reston, VA) is a Queens-based photographer and journalist. Through both documentary and conceptual practices, Stewart explores gender, queer code, nightlife, memory, and “the archive.” Their current project “Passing Time” documents the start of their medical transition in relation to transitions found in nature. In an effort to cope with the waiting that comes with HRT, Stewart explores their relationship to craft, scavenges outside for signifiers of the passage of time, and ritualistically archives their temporary body. Stewart is a freelance photographer of queer nightlife for GO Magazine. They are currently studying at The New School in New York City and will graduate in May 2027 with a BFA in photography and a BA in journalism.
